You’re A Teacher… You’re A Hero

Jay R. Miranda

“A good teacher has been defined as an individual who can understand those are not very good at explaining , and explain to those who are not very good at understanding.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower

There is no I in teamwork and we can never spell success without U!

These are famous clinches we often see in established companies… strong groups and even in small businesses.

As school leader in Bacolor Elementary School-Madapdap, in Pampanga, my main job is only to set the direction and provide the vision, support endeavors and probably build dreams… but you teachers… you are the only truly responsible when it comes to learning outcomes.

If we are in a battlefield, you are in the trenches, in the thick of battle egging your soldiers to fight on. You are the first line of defense who have the feel of the terrain, the full grasp of the situation and who know the capability of your soldier.”

Principals cannot take credit for what truly belongs to teachers – the direct classroom manager.

The school heads serve as your leaders, and as your principals, they should not create followers but ust create more leaders.

As we start a new school year, allow me to share with you some lessons I learned from my previous readings which may serve you some principles in life…

JUST TAKE WHAT YOU NEED… remember the rule of economics, we have unlimited wants, but still we can do and sit back and enjoy what little we have but because of greed, we want more and wanting more sometimes makes us do things we sometimes regret and there goes the trouble.

WE WILL BE FINE AS LONG AS NO ONE GOES OVER AGAIN… this means trouble is absent for those who knows of keeping still and not sticking their noses where it shouldn’t be. SILENCE and SMILE are two powerful tools. Smile is the way to solve too many problems and silence is the way to avoid many problems.

ENOUGH IS NEVER ENOUGH… Typically, as humans, we always want more and more and more. The list could goes on and on and on. We never knew when to pause, stop and thank what blessings we hold in our hands.

FAMILY… this is the gateway to the good life. SELF EXPLANATORY. THIS LINE SAYS IT ALL!

Now that we have reached the climax of my article, I hope that I made you nod, smile and wink with belief and agreement… BE PROUD… YOU ARE A TEACHER.. YOU ARE A HERO

Have a blessed day a head teachers!!! Happy teaching!
