Here comes Ike!

-

HE IS DEFINITELY a copy of his charismatic father, a legend in Mabalacat politics.

He has the charm, the physique and the talent. On his own, he stands out as a potential leader. Given his exposure in Mabalacat politics, he can prove his worth and potentials. Now a good speaker, he can tackle almost any subject in public speaking.

Presenting IGNACIO MIGUEL "Ike" MANIPON MORALES , the worthy son of former mayor Marino "Boking" Morales, who has held a long record as public servant, first as Councilor, then a Vice Mayor and finally, the City Mayor of M abal acat .

Known as the father of Mabalacat cityhood, he tirelessly shepherded efforts to convert the town into a city in 2012. This has opened much respect for Boking, a dynamic visionary and a genuine public servant .

Ike is a product of De La Salle, Taft, Manila with a degree of Bachelor of Arts, major in Political Science. It gives him therefore the right preparation and credentials for a political career.

Previously, he obtained his elementary and secondary certificates from Don Bosco Academy,

located at Barangay Mabiga where he has shown his leadership qualities.

There at Don Bosco, Ike's passion for community service was honed and given full expression. He has learned to immerse with the poorest of the poor and his heart and mind were trained to one day serve them.

It is still a full year and a few months before the

presidential (national) elections were to be held in 2022.

President Duterte and his chosen ones will perforce step down and leave the scene, according to rules, as he would have completed his six-year term and is barred from seeking r eel ect i on.

The probables to succeed him may consist of current VP Leni Robredo, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio and by a long shot former senator Bongbong Marcos, the former actor Isko Moreno Domagoso and others. The field is wide open for the successor of Rodrigo Roa Dut er t e.

This time, I hope the next president will assert our rights over the West Philippine Sea, honor our international commitments and agreements and address our long lingering problems of hunger and poverty.
