Teaching Process

Every teacher has a different way of delivering the lessons. Some of them use the traditional way of teaching, some practice new invention teaching and some use the two practices as well. But the question is, what is the best teaching method to use is in terms of facilitating instructional material? Is it the old way or the new one?

The old way of teaching is a pen and paper teaching, where the students are asked to write a lecture on their notebooks from the board. It is also called as spoonfeeding learning where the teacher is the giver of all the information and ideas throw to the minds of the students.

The new way of teaching includes facilitating and guiding students with high technology. The teacher also uses media in facilitating learning. The teacher nurtures the learner and accepts opinions and suggestions. They let the student learn their way. In using different activities the teacher lets the students use their mobile phones and gadgets to search for something, to create new ideas, and make innovations out of their prior knowledge.

Concerning these techniques, I would recommend using the two methods. There must be a balance of the old and new ways to have better learning. The use of the old one and the new one depending on how relevant it is to the learner’s interest and skills. It is in the teacher’s way of teaching, teacher’s way of motivating the students because no matter how noble the materials used if educators do not have a heart and passion to do his noble profession all is nothing. As per Bill Gates said “Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.
