God Will Make A Way When There Seems To Be No Way

What an inspiring message to ponder amidst this Corona Virus pandemic! How soothing it is to our tired and weary souls! Now the world has turned upside down, when everything seems not what they used to be. The pandemic caught us at a time when we least expected it. Tick, tock, tick, tock! BOOM!!! That fast! No fanfares whatsoever. The church, our only refuge in this time of season shut its doors, shopping malls, restaurants, and the like, where we frequently unwind and shop to our heart’s delight, were temporarily closed, flights were cancelled, roads were abandoned, and we were forced to hide and to reflect in our very homes. People’s lives turned into rollercoasters, laughter and gatherings came to a halt. News about the spread of the virus were overwhelming; death was escalating. It seems that we were on the point of no return, but have you ever thought that God is giving us valuable lessons?

We were so busy paddling our own canoes, unmindful of others’ suffering, so engrossed with our works and pleasures that we sometimes forget to pray, so greedy accumulating wealth so as to live with ease and comfort, so careless in treating Mother Earth, so callous without never ending complains, so jealous of others’ feats. When will we learn from the mistakes of the past? On the brighter side, the phenomenon changed our perspectives in life. We became aware of others’ needs, our selfishness turned into kindness, our haughtiness into humility, we learned to take care of Mother Nature, we learned to sweat to sustain our needs, the rich welcomed the less fortunate into their folds, bickering and misunderstandings in politics rested a while, the funny thing, gossip mongers took their time out! But the most important thing, we all started to pray like we’ve never prayed before. God became the center of our universe!! We made Him the chauffeur of our lives. As I was writing this, I came into a realization that MONEY is temporary. A rich businessman once said, “Money, in these trying times, has no more value. LIFE IS PRECIOUS, CAR is temporary, roads were closed, where are you headed to? When will this nightmare ends? In God’s perfect time. Just Remember, HE Created us to soar above the storm, to swim in the raging seas, before we reach our bright horizon. Have faith, God is in control.
