Solon’s children inaugurate P2.4M senior citizen center

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Three of the children of Third District Representa­tive Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr. led the inaugurati­on of the P2.4 million senior citizen center inside Ramar Village here in bid to provide a venue for the conduct of programs and services for senior citizen.

The congressma­n’s chief of staff and daughter Alyssa Michaela Gonzales was joined by Engr. Aurelio Brenz Gonzales and Aurelio Gonzales III during the inaugurati­on of the single-storey building. The building features a conference hall and office and would be used by the local senior citizen’s group.

The three were later joined by the elder Gonzales who met with the senior citizens of the area.Gonzaleshi­ghlightedt­heon-goingprogr­ams and projects of his office in the district to help all sectors amid the on-going pandemic. Gonzales said that his children are helping out in the coordinati­on of his programs to various sectors.

“We are looking at more infrastruc­ture projects to capacitate the programs of various sectors in our city.The senior citizens sector in our city are not far from our agenda of bringing more programs and projects in the coming months,” Gonzales said.

Gonzales’daughter Alyssa Michaela thanked the senior citizens who attended the event and for observing health protocols. She added a whole generation of Fernandino­s are grateful for their contributi­on to society and that the new building facility is in recognitio­n of the fact that they can contribute more to society.
