Environment
Jan Paul V. Dungo
The environment plays a vital role in our lives. It sustains our daily needs which keep us alive because it gives us food, water and oxygen. Environment is the air, water, minerals, organisms at any time. There are ways that humans have been disrupting the ecological balance through pollution, deforestation, interference with wild life and over population. People are polluting our grasslands, streams, rivers, lakes and ocean when they throw the garbage anywhere they want. When trash goes to our ocean it affects the flora and fauna of the aquatic environment. The ocean serves us by providing us with source of energy, food and mineral resources. The air we breathe is also being polluted by smoke that releases sulfur dioxide and gases. These are being cut down whether it is a full grown or immature tree. Animals are on the verse of extinction. Overpopulation has increased the demand for food or land to accommodate the growing number of people.
People have the responsibility to help the environment by throwing and segregating our trash in the right place. Recycling is another way to help save the environment. Students should volunteer to plant trees so that we can restore the trees that we cut down. Protecting the wildlife from poachers and people from collecting the animals to gain profit.
