The pandemic has reshaped the world today including the Education in the Philippines. The raising concerns of online education by both the parents and students of had stimulated discussions for academic freeze. However, the Department of Education has taken the challenges to teach the newly enrolled twenty-seven millions of learners for the School Year 2020-2021. Most importantly, the learners are faced with difficulties and challenges in adapting distance modular learning.

First, the role of the teachers has been appreciated during this struggling time. In a regular classroom setting, the flow of discussion is active, relevant, and meaningful. Before pandemic, the teachers applied teaching strategies in instruction, assessment, and evaluation. Students were engaged in various activities that were significant to their physical, mental, and social well-being. But now, the learners should have self-regulated knowledge, skills, and character in learning at home. Without the supervision of the subject mentors, the learners have to manage their time and learning resources efficiently and effectively.

Second, the condition at home balancing both studying the academics and family time has been fused. The parents play vital support for the students. Their aid in providing a venue conducive for learning will affect directly to their academic performance. Moreover, parents are teachers-partners in facilitating teaching at home. But sometimes, the sad truth hits in l. Some parents lack knowledge and skills in transferring subject contents.

Lastly, students are affected mentally. They have been experiencing uncertainty. They are grounded at homes missing physical social gatherings. Although, interaction online is possible, encouragement from classmates and friends has been limited. These significant relationships have an impact in their mental health.

In conclusion, the educational system has changed in all aspects. The teachers, students, and other stakeholders need to strive together in order to achieve academic fulfillment for this time of pandemic.
