STANDING STILL: DEPED
Fatima M. Vercasion
The Department of Education’s Mission is to protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education where: Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment. Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner.
In the middle of this Pandemic, our beloved DepEd still proves that it’s here to provide quality education to the learners. This misfortune that we are experiencing now will not hinder us to provide our learners quality relevant education to help them gain knowledge and skills needed for growth. We might have experienced hardship and adversities but we are doing our best to cope up in this time of crisis.
The department officials and school personal have undergone trainings properly to be able to properly deliver this alternative learning modality to our learners. Even if it seems like it is impossible to adapt to new learning modalities given a less amount of time, we were able to provide the things needed for this school year. This situation may be new to us, but this doesn’t mean that we cannot pull it out.
This only proved that in times of trials, the DepEd will do its best for the learners. Through the love, passion, commitment, and dedication of all the people in the department, and with the help of the Lord, we can overcome this Pandemic and we can STAND STILL.
