Virtual LAC Session (MANAGING STRESS AMIDST PANDEMIC}

Our LAC Session entitled “Managing Stress Amidst Pandemic” was conducted virtually on December 16,17 & 18, 2020. Teachers from different grade and section participated the session through google meet. Its objectives of to learn how to develop sustainable coping mechanism of the teacher that has problems with regulation of emotions and frustrations, to offer holistic support for teachers that are facing major changes and to improve teaching and learning process through the use of applying different stress reductionmethods to typical different situations in the classroom were achieved because different topics on stress management were discussed.

On the first day of our session Mrs. Sylvia D. Fernandez, our principal, discussed the definition of Work Related Stress. Mrs. Maileen C. Manaloto, a grade 1 teacher discussed the Physical Symptoms of Work Related Stress while Mrs. Blesilda M. Sangil, our Master Teacher 1 tackled about the Psychological Symptoms of Work Related Stress. On the second day, Behavioral Symptoms of Work Related Stress was discussed by Mrs. Maileen C. Manaloto followed by Mrs. Krisfel L. Lapid, a Kinder teacher with the topic Stress Management and the Causes of Work Related Stress discussed by Ms. Lhyra D. Clavo, a grade I teacher. On the third day of the session, Healthy Ways to Cope Up Stress was tacked by Mrs. Maileen C. Manaloto followed by the 5 Ways to Deal with Pandemic Induced Stress by Ms. Lhyra D. Clavo. As an ending, there was sharing of thoughts among the participants on how they managed their stress on this time of pandemic.

With the discussion held, there was an active participation and interaction. Teachers enjoyed listening since this topis is very timely learning to cope up with the new normal education. Overcoming stress in any situation is an important factor in order to deal with life positively performing one’s task successfully. Truly, holding virtual LAC Session is very difficult and challenging but thru cooperation of every teacher, it was conducted meaningfully.
