Angeles City hall employees get more cash incentives
ANGELES CITY--About 1,316 employees have received additional P10,000 cash incentives on December 22.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said that the P10,000 cash gift is composed of P5,000 Collective Negotiation
Agreement (CNA); and P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive.
Another P5,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) will be released to the said employees next week.
Of the total recipients,980arepermanent; 321 are casual; and 15 are contractual employees.
“Binabalik lang po natin sa ating mga kawani ang nararapat dahil sa kanilang walang kapagurang serbisyo, lalo na po ngayong may kinakaharap tayong pandemya,”Lazatin said.
The incentive release is in accordance with Mayor Lazatin’s Memorandum
No. 1198, Series of 2020, dated last October 15, where he announced the P15,000 cash gift, apart from the one-month equivalent salary of year-end bonus distributed last November 16. He then ordered the Local Finance Committee — City Treasurer’s Office, City Budget Office, and City Accounting Office — to prepare immediately the computation for the said bonuses.
In addition, 2,805 Contract of Service (COS) employees have also received their P3,000 cash incentive on December 10, amounting to P8,415,000.
Flordeliza Santos, Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA) President, cited the efforts of the Lazatin administration in pushing to release the said cash incentives.
“Despite the pandemic, hindi po kinakalimutan ni Mayor Lazatin ang kapakanan ng mga empleyado. Hindi niya po pinapabayaan ang mga kawani ng Angeles City,” Santos said.
