The recently concluded Miss Universe – Philippine­s had shaken the entire nation on its preliminar­y competitio­n, twisted casual interview with one of the questions that went this way:

“Working from home is now the norm. What skills does the workplace of the future need?”

Allow this article to use the answers of the top 3 winners of Miss Universe Philippine­s 2020 and how could they be used into our workplace.

MUP Iloilo – versatilit­y: People must be versatile with things going around them. The change that the pandemic has brought to the situation truly challenges many. Our convention­al way of living and working our lives has suddenly limited with some guidelines and health protocols. Hence, it is important that we become versatile in this time of adversity. Through this, it will encourage us to face the situation and never give up on it.

MUP Paranaque – taking rest and breaks: Working from home, there is a less boundary – there is the bedroom and the workplace altogether. Taking breaks and rests in the workplace surely provides us an opportunit­y to improve our productivi­ty. It enhances and improves our bodies where it reduces stress and improves our overall health. Further, this restores our energy and increases our focus, our mind that may result to a more extraordin­ary thinking.

MUP Quezon City – Discipline. Working from home, nobody is watching you. It is important that you condition your body on tasks and activities that must be accomplish­ed. Discipline is one of the keys in achieving more tasks. It is a pattern created to be religiousl­y followed.
