COVID THOUGHTS AND BUSINESS

-

Early of last year when the Corona virus (Covid-19) cause severe damage to our economy. It is an infectious disease that the government need to implement lockdowns to all areas with high number of Covid cases. This pandemic is devastating because it brought a lot of negative effects to our economy. Unfortunately, the most affected are the micro enterprises because they only have a small investment and the foundation is not yet strong enough to respond to the negative effects of this crisis. There are areas in our country which are still under lockdowns causing non-essential businesses for temporary closures while some are trying to adopt to the new normal. Also, businesses who continue to operate need to adhere to the mandatory health protocols otherwise they will be forced to close.

In this new normal, if you are planning to be an entrepreneur, first thing you need to consider is developing a business continuity plan prior to beginning your operations because it can help mitigate risk. Secondly, choose the type of business that will benefit you and your market. Why not go for a business that will help people especially during this trying times? Next is do your research if you are in doubt of what to do or you can get an advice from business professionals for the development and improvement of your business. And lastly, stay positive. Starting up a business is not easy. In this pandemic, it is really risky so you really need to be prepared in all aspect of business. The future may be uncertain, always keep in mind what Mark Cuban stated “Wherever there is change, and wherever there is uncertainty, there is opportunity”.
