Mabalacat exec tests positive for Covid-19
MABALACAT CITY -- A top official in this component city has contracted COVID 19.
In his social media post, Vice Mayor Gerald
Aquino disclosed that he tested positive of the virus on Tuesday.
The official said he experienced fever and body pain.
"Kahapon po ay sumailalim ako sa RTPCR Test o Swab Testing dahil ako ay nakaramdam na ng pananakit ng katawan at lagnat. Ikinalulungkot ko pong ipaalam sa lahat na ako po ay nagpositibo sa COVID-19," Aquino stated. The vice mayor claimed that he had no known exposure to a COVID 19 patient.
"Sa aking pagkakaalam, wala po akong naging contact sa isang positive patient."
Aquino said he is now isolated and being treated in a medical center.
"Sa kasalukuyan, ako po ay naka-isolate na po ngayon sa isang ospital for treatment," he said.
The official asked all of his close contacts to undergo self quarantine prior to swab testing.
"Akin na din pong inabisuhan ang lahat ng aking staff na mag selfquarantine hanggang sa sila ay ma-asses at maswab" Aquino said.
The vice mayor , who is a practicing lawyer, said he had suspended legal service in his law office. "Dahil dito, suspended po muna ang legal services, notary public at iba pang serbisyo publiko ng aking opisina." Close contacts may coordinate to the City Health Office, according to Aquino.
"Sa mga taong nakasalamuha at nakausap ko ng matagal mula January 4, 2021, kung maaari po sana ay ipagbigay alam lamang ito sa City Health Office o sa Rural Health Unit upang maisailalim kayo sa contact tracing at iba pang assessment."
He also asked for prayers from his constituents. "Ang inyo pong panalangin ay malaking tulong upang mabilis nating malagpasan ang kapagsubukang ito."
CLARK FREEPORT— President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the nomination of Director Manuel Gaerlan as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Clark Development Corporation ( CD C) .
Malacañang has announced the appointment in a letter signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea dated January 11, 2021.The letter was addressed to the members of the CDC Board of Directors (BOD).
The CDC BOD, executives and staff regard the appointment as a welcome development.
For her part, Office of the CDC- Officer-InCharge President Engineer Mariza Mandocdoc said she is thankful that President Duterte appointed a new President and CEO from the members of the CDC BOD.
“Director Gaerlan is very much aware of the opportunities and challenges that Clark faces. With his inspiring leadership, CDC will be able to accomplish much much more for Clark and its stakeholders,” Mandocdoc said.
Gaerlan will take his Oath of Office as CDC President and CEO on Thursday, January 14, 2021 during a special organizational meeting of the CDC BOD.
