School Calendar

Every school year contains four quarters which is about 10 months that consist of more than or equal to 200 school days for the pupils to learn, and teachers to teach, but the school year is not only about pure academics throughout, thus each month of this calendar has something to celebrate that is upbringing a goal towards the developmen­t of each event that is being held.

June is the month when the public schools under the Department of Education are mandated to start their classes. For the month of July which is the Nutrition Month, it aims to promote the healthy living and diet among the members of the school. August – is the Buwan ng Wika, where it showcases the beautiful art within our national language, the Filipino. The month of September is known as the month of Mathematic­s and Science month, when school-based up to division level events are being held in promotion of these two subjects where different competitio­ns are also included in it, but this month up to the first week of October is the celebratio­n of the World Teachers’ Day and History Month.

November is the month of Anti-Drug Abuse, it is celebrated through inviting different speakers that talks about the negative effects of drugs and on how to prevent it. December is celebrated by schools through a year-end event, but some school is conducting a gift giving activities. January is the National Autism and Cancer Awareness month, which is done through seminars and talks among the pupils and even teachers.

Month of love is mainly celebrated during the Month of February, also it is the National Arts month, where crafts of pupils and teachers are showcased through booths around the schools, lastly, the month of March and the first week of April. It is the closing month, where all of the requiremen­ts specially the graduating pupils are being done. Final exams, post-tests, realising of grades, and the announceme­nt of pupils with honors are the highlights of the March, while the first week of April, is when the school year ends. Pupils harvest the fruits of their labors.

Every activity is an opportunit­y to be better. They must not be taken for granted.
