CDC's 13th President
THE THIRTEENTH (13th) President of the state-owned Clark Development Corporation (CDC) may weave wonders, if not miracles, during his tenur e.
Given the helm recently, Manuel R. Gaerlan hit the ground running, so to speak, and at top speed.
Already, he seemed to have a grip on the firm's business activities and operations, including meeting the representatives of locators inside the Freeport Zone, local government units officials, media, partner agencies and other groups from the public and private sector.
This president comes academically equipped with a post graduate degree in Master of Management at the Asian Institute of Management (with distinction) and as Class Valedictorian at the Philippine Military Academy in 1985 and has served in battle where he was given the Bronze Cross Medal and Wounded Personnel Medal of Purple Heart.
For CDC, President Gaerlan introduces the 'economic reset, rebound and recover' scheme to make his firm more profitable, steady and consistent contributor to the national coffers.
For all his efforts, President Gaerlan deserves a Garland of admiration and respect of all the stakeholders of Clark Development Cor por at i on.
The new prexy aims to make his firm globally competitive
but starting to excel in Asia first.
Per the press listing given this writer, CDC aims to me the Freeport a modern and sustainable aerotropolis and preferred meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) and tourism destination in the Asia Pacific region by year 2030.
This aim is not farfetched and is achievable given the motivation and determination of the men and women of CDC and the Freeport Zone led by President Manuel R. Gaerlan.
