Learning for All
Rolando D. Mendiola
It has always been considered that if the society wants to reach its maximum capacity, it must empower its people. Each and everyone must be given the same opportunity to grow – no matter which social class they belong to.
Each must have an opportunity to accept the beauty there is in tomorrow – with equality in education, we must ensure that no student will be left behi nd.
With the data gathered from different regions in the country over the years, we have understood that there is a need for change in the systems and in their completion.
This is a painful, undeniable fact: most of us cannot even have enough money to graduate from high school; what more would we expect in college?
The sad reality is that while a part of us can send their kids to universities, a larger share of our people would rather send out their children to neighborhood stores to work and help their families.
When we recall history, we come to appreciate the value of education as it has helped our nation become what it is today: free and growing to its greatness.
In line with this, we give pressure to the fact that the growing number of out-of-school youths (OSYs) is not a sign of prominence at all. It is a representation of our lacking will to alter our fate – and we therefore must make a move to change it.
The authorities are encouraging the youth and every single member of the society that they may be able to reach the fullness of their abilities if they voluntarily contribute to the different ALS programs – because no student must be left behind.
It has always been thought that if the society wants to reach its full ability, it must encourage its people.
The birth of various educational projects is a sign that we are eager and able to alter our course and chart changes for generations yet to come.
All of us must have an opportunity to welcome the beauty there is in tomorrow – with fairness in education, we must guarantee that education is not only for the few who can afford it.
Education should be for all.
