Commitment to provide quality education

THE Department of Education, in view of the International Day of Education or IDE, said it remains faithful to the expectations and requirements of what education should be in a country like the Philippines.
The DepEd, moving forward, said it will continue to prioritize the delivery of quality education to the Filipino students as it continues to address the challenges in the basic education sector.
As part of the celebration of the IDE, a virtual forum was held, featuring efforts and initiatives of various education stakeholders amid the pandemic.
Despite the problems brought about by the health crisis, the DepEd said “education continued even as face to face teaching and class sessions were not allowed.” DepEd has started implementing distance learning approach for the school year, using multiple learning delivery modalities.
At the moment, the agency is strengthening the technological side of education for it to become much more efficient in keeping abreast with all the development. The DepEd, meanwhile, acknowledges the challenges in education quality amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It has made great strides in making basic education accessible to children and youth.
The agency will remain steadfast in its commitment to provide quality education for all, as it continues to conduct various activities under the “Sulong Edukalidad” initiative as a measure to “improve education quality in the country.”
