EMPOWERING THE PARENTS AS SUPRHEROES OF DEPED CAUSE

Children are whining and complainin­g that they missed school terribly. Others will suggest in a jest that they are very much willing to go to school even without any allowances. Well, that some positive feedbacks to some learners that they are very eager and excited to go to school.

Now here comes our parents to the rescue. They will go to school practicing health protocols to get their beloved children their modules for the entire week. Braving any possible chances of acquiring this dangerous virus. This is wonder woman!

Once at home they need to present to their children what the lesson is all about. Now this is the most demanding task! Of all these learning competenci­es they will try to deliver concern lessons with all their might! These are the Incredible­s!

They need to balance their time, money and effort. They need to go to work and tip toing on assisting their children on better chance of quality education. This is Doctor Strange in action!

And on weekdays they need to help their wards in answering all the summative and formative tasks then to be submitted back to their learners’ teachers. In most cases they need to summon heaven and earth to get the best results all in the name of a better education amidst this pandemic!

These are heroes in disguise clad on their wardrobes of bestida, bakya and tsinelas but they are getting the job done! Teachers are clamouring that parents in the old normal have lesser times with their children. As far as providing quality time in having PTA meetings, attending Family Day occasions and assisting to their school progress!

This is the magic or we can say the positive side of the Covid-19 pandemic. Family bond was made stronger! Learners holistic developmen­t is everybody’s care.
