CSFWD to donate water facilities to LGU, schools

OF SAN FERNANDO - In line with the celebratio­n of Women's Month, the City of San Fernando Water District (CSFWD)has pledged to donate several facilities primarily intended to benefit Fernandina­s.

CSFWD Women's Sector Representa­tive Dr. Lou Javier said members of Northville Women's Associatio­n were chosen as recipients of Water Refilling Station business.

"This is a project aimed at providing additional sustainabl­elivelihoo­d to Fernandina­s and their families and we have chosen the women of Northville," she said.

Aside from this, the water district is also donating a toilet block with handwashin­g facility to Sta. Lucia Integrated School to further promote good hygiene to students once they come back to school.

A sand filter unit will also be donated to the city

government which will be installed at the city's Isolation Facility located inside the Civic Center.

The said machine will provide potable water to patients as well as workers of the isolation facility, said CSFWD General Manager Jorge Gumba.

Gumba furthered that all projects are all set for turnover but are only awaiting necessary documents from recipients.

"This is part of our regular programs to help the community of our concession­aires and we vow to do more as we celebrated our 44th anniversar­y this year," he said.

Mayor Edwin Santiago, meanwhile, expressed gratitude to CSFWD for their continuous support to the city government and its programs for Fernandino­s.
