Sam Pinto weds Anthony Semerad
Sam Pinto married cager Anthony Semerad in a sunset wedding ceremony at the rooftop terrace of Conrad Manila Hotel in Pasay City on Monday, March 8, 2021. She walked down the aisle in a custom-made bridal gown, featuring layers and layers of tulle, a deep v-neckline, and thigh-high slit. It was designed by Michael Leyva.
The fashion designer shared his inspiration for Sam's bridal gown: "I wanted sana to make something that perfectly suits her personality— sophisticated and elegant. I was very lucky that she entrusted me to make a design for her on what will really fit her."
Sam's bridal gown also had a huge bow at the back. Sam paired her gown with simple strappy high-heeled sandals, which accentuated the Indian art tattoo on her left foot. Meanwhile, celebrity make-up artist Ting Duque gave Sam a bronzed, sun-kissed bridal beauty look which gave her a beach babe glow. Hairstylist Arci Barcenas completed her beauty look with a braided half-up, halfdown hairstyle with long waves. The bridal look was completed by a bouquet prepared by Gideon Her mosa.

Derek Ramsay has always preferred expensive and designers furniture. In fact, the 44-year-old actor's new three-story home in Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City is furnished with sofa sets worth P4 million— already the price of a condo unit in the metro!
Derek has said he wanted every room in his house to have conversation pieces, "something to talk about" when guests come around. The furniture in his home are not only topnotch in design and craftmanship, they are, most all, stylishly functional.
He said, pointing to the black boomerangshaped sofas in his living room, "They’re also functional and comfortable. They look funky, they look interesting, but at the same time they’re very, very comfortable. I find it very, very comfortable. It’s kind of the firm side."
The sofa called the Moon System, which comes with an ottoman, was designed by the
Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid in collaboration with B&B Italia. Derek owns two Moon System sofas, each priced at USD13,119.60 (around P650,000), according to chaplins.com.uk. Derek's comfiest and most favorite settee is in the entertainment area, a two-seater utilitarian Moroso Gentry Sofa designed by Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola in 2011.
He said, "This beautiful, most comfortable couch. Ito talaga ang best couch in the world. You just sink in. Sobrang lambot niya. I love the material. I love the color. That’s what drew my attention to this couch. Ito, dito, nakakatulog ako. I get to chill watching my favorite shows. Of course, all the sporting shows."
Derek described this particular sofa as "kulay diarrhea." According tohivemodern.com, the sofa comes in several colors, from light gray to royal blue, and is priced at USD7,880 (around P383,000). The third sofa on the ground floor of Derek's home is in the lanai and pool area. This striped sofa is called The Ribes. It was designed by Milan-based architect and furniture designer Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia.
According to Derek, he paid PHP1 million to acquire the sofa from the furniture shop's local branch. This pearl-colored, three-piece Togo Sofa by Ligne Roset designed by French furniture maker Michel Ducaroy in Derek's bedroom costs USD14,900 (around P750,000), according to the furniture company's official website.
Meanwhile, the citruscolored, L-shaped Voyage Immobile sofa set from Roche Bobois that adds a puff of color on the third floor is estimated to have cost Derek PHP450,000.
