Mayor reminds traders not to sell liquor until April 5

MABALACAT CITY --Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo has reminded business establishm­ents and traders in the city not to sell liquor during the home quarantine period from March 20 to April 5.

The mayor said this is connection with the executive order issued by Governor Dennis Pineda ordering for a two week home quarantine following the upsurge of COVID 19 cases in Pampanga.

"Selling and buying of liquor, so convenienc­e stores, sari-sari stores, supermarke­t they are not allowed to sell liquor," Garbo said.

For gatherings and events, Garbo advised the residents to secure permits from the barangays where the venue is located.

"For example, atin kang binyag, birthday, o kaya kasal dapat kuma lang permit kening city hall. Pero para kaku pu you just have to get permit from the barangay nung nukarin ya pu located ita pung venue na gamitan yu ketang birthday okaya ketang nanu man okasyun," the official sai d.

secure a permit from city hall. But for me, you just have to get the permit from the barangay where the venue for the occasion is located)

Strict compliance of the safety and health protocols should be observe at all times in events and gatherings, Garbo stressed.

The mayor said that the guidelines allow only 50 percent of the total capacity of an establishm­ent or function hall where the event will be held.

Non-residents of Pampanga are not allowed to visit or grace any event within the city, Garbo added.

Only essential workers, including Clark Freeport workers, are allowed to enter the city provided that they will show certificat­e of employment, the local chief executive said.
