He added that the said passes are only issued to APORs or individual­s aged 18 to 60 with no comorbidit­ies.

Punsalan, however, clarified that employed individual­s need not secure essential passes as they are only asked to present company ID during transactio­ns and at checkpoint­s.

"The issuance of essential passes is to further restrict movement among residents as a boost to Governor Dennis Pineda's efforts in the fight against Covid-19," he said.
