Career advancement and professional growth offer evident benefits: higher salaries, greater respect, and more challenging projects. It’s little wonder, then, that so many workers are motivated to continuously improve their roles and responsibilities and climb the successful career advancement. In the world of teaching, every individual tries their luck for career opportunities by engaging on varied professional growth strategies.
In our institution, our school – leaders motivate us in accomplishing work – related activities which can both contribute to the teaching – learning and professional development of each educator. It is the advocacy of teachers to become role model to colleagues in achieving the school’s mission and vision. Initiating strategies to attain personal and professional growth and development can leverage by the teachers to improve their skills. This takes on more responsibility at work and advance the teachers’career.
Teaching advocacy also includes the resiliency of teachers in embracing the new normal practices to provide a quality education among our young learners. Teachers are mandated to perform their heroic role in teaching learners even without face to face discussion. Utilizing technology in creating innovation in the new normal can also be prepared by the teachers. Nowadays, innovation also contribute to increase the skills development of teachers as well as contribute to the successful learning management system of the school.
Aiming for promotion will motivate teachers to exhibit an effective and efficient in teaching despite the pandemic. Conducting research studies towards the improvement of teaching and learning process is also included in the qualification for career advancement of teachers. With this, every teacher is encouraged to initiate to conduct a study which can contribute to the pedagogical approaches and curriculum instruction development not only in one school but also entire part of the Department of Education.
