When the bubble bursts
NCR, or the National Capital Region, has registered the highest COVID 19 cases nationwide. It is rightfully correct since it is densely populated with people of diverse culture, dialects and persuasions.
Its leaders or local chief executives have devised several measures just to stem off transmissions of the deadly disease. Now, we heard of the NCR+ bubble, covering NCR, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal and Bulacan to contain the disease. Does it really work?
Latest data from both the DOH and the OCTA Research group show that the figues on COVID 19 cases have breached the 10,000 mark and increasing. This, despite the initial rollout of vaccines. Now the authorities are mulling on imposing/ extending the most rigid of all quarantine classifications, the ECQ. Now, Metro Manila and its environs will stay under this classification for a much loner time in the hope of containing the spread of the deadly disease. Whew!
As usual, the Metro Manila mayors are in
their building structures and edifices on shoals we have known to be ours for years.
Even our president, the one sworn to protect and serve our territory and sovereignty, has succumbed to Chinese pressure and is even lavish in praise of the so-called Chinese gen er osi t y.
We are faced with the dilemma of being a province of China but with its current posture, we acquiesce to the fact that subjugation by this superpower on our territory will remain in the years to come.
So, let us warm up to the idea that sometime in the near future, we will welcome the prospect of the Philippines as a province of China in the same breadth as Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan! Sana all.
