Aside from Garcia, other Bataan officials present during the groundbreaking included First District Rep. Geraldine Roman and

“We in Bataan are happy that despite the pandemic we face, Pagcor continues to pour in financial support to the needy in the province and now fund projects that will help our constituents in times of calamities,” Garcia sai d.

Macalinao said the evacuation center was part of their desire to protect and take care of the people of Samal, especially during calamities and tragedies.

“Ang pagkakaroon ng isang moderno, maayos at maipagmamalaking pasilidad ay makakatulong upang kami ay patuloy na makapagkaloob ng isang serbisyo publiko na ‘deserve’ ng aming mga kababayan (Having a facility which is modern, comfortable and to be proud of is a big push for us to continue the service deserved by people)”, the Samal mayor said.
