Pag-IBIG Fund goes virtual amidst pandemic

OF SAN FERNANDO -- Members of Pag-IBIG Fund may now do transactio­ns online.

Pag-IBIG Fund San Fernando Branch Customer Assistant I John Manaloto announced that instead of visiting the office physically, members may now use smartphone­s or computers for their transact i ons.

“Technicall­y, we are bringing Pag-IBIG branches at the comfort of your homes. You could apply as a member, pay online your regular savings, MP2 savings, Housing Loan, or the Multi-purpose Loan,

and view your records,” he detailed.

The online service can be accessed through www.pagibigfun­d.gov.ph and click on the Virtual Pag-IBIG button.

In addition, Virtual Pag-IBIG allows access to the members for online loan applicatio­n.

“There is no need to go to our Pag-IBIG branches. Through the virtual Pag-IBIG, you could file for a short-term loan, multi-purpose loan, and calamity loan,” Manaloto expressed.

He said that services have shifted digitally to continuous­ly cater the beneficiar­ies amidst the pandemic, and to avoid long queue in the br anches.

Meanwhile, Pag-IBIG Fund San Fernando Branch Marketing and Sales Supervisor Pablo Macalino mentioned that members or employers who are unable to update their contributi­ons amidst the pandemic can do so via online payment through Gcash, PayMaya, or in Bayad Centers.

“Now, many employers are affected with the pandemic as many establishm­ents have closed. Our old members who were not able to pay their contributi­ons because their employers did not update, you could continue this as individual payor or voluntary,” he said.

Macalino said members could also file for loan if they are updating their contributi­ons for at least one month with at least 24 months contributi­on prior before stopping their jobs.

For her part, Pag-IBIG Fund San Fernando Branch Head Liberty Guerrero encouraged the members to avail the Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus to receive Multi-Purpose Loan Proceeds, and MP2 Savings.

“When it comes to short term loans, members can track if the multi-purpose loan filed online is approved, how much he is qualified to loan, is he an active member, how much is his savings, how much is he paying, or how much is his outstandin­g balance,” she explained.

Card-holders may also enjoy exclusive discounts and rewards from more than 300 PagIBIG partner establishm­ents.

The loyalty card can also be used as a primary Identifica­tion Card for Pag-IBIG fund transactio­ns, and is accepted by other agencies as a secondary ID.

Lastly, the public is encouraged to apply as members as the dividends earned are getting higher each year.
