CLTV36 champions ‘local pride’ on 14th year

-

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---LausGrouprun television station CLTV36 renewed its commitment to deliver timely, relevant and accessible information to Central Luzon viewers as it continues to champion “local pride” on its 14th year in the broadcast industry.

During the virtual thanksgiving mass celebrating its anniversary on May 12, 2021, Laus Group of Companies Chairman and CEO Lisset Laus-Velasco said that CLTV36 has become an enabler of public good through its relevant and informative programs, carrying on the advocacy of LGC founder Levy P. Laus to develop the countryside.

“CLTV36 was conceptualized by our late founder Levy P. Laus, who wanted to further serve the region through television. At that time, having a TV station did not seem to be a compelling idea, since the Lau Group already had a radio station, RW 95.1, which actually played a critical role during the Mt. Pinatubo eruption in the 90’s. The family also later partnered with the Cebu-based publication that now provided community daily news through SunStar Pampanga. The decision to put up a regional TV station was not primarily because of additional business, it was to further promote economic growth in Central Luzon,” she said.

On the onset, the road was not easy for CLTV36. Fourteen years later, CLTV36 has become one of the most sought after news sources in the region, yet again, during this pandemic. As the LausGroup has reaffirmed its commitment to the community, that education will continue during this season of COVID-19,we partnered with the Department of Education and of course our local government in making sure students will have access to learning and this is something we are proud of. Most importantly, these projects and partnerships, we’ve made possible because CLTV36 was successful in pivoting to make news more relevant and more accessible,” Laus-Velasco furthered.

She added that the digital presence of CLTV has contributed immensely in bringing news not only locally, but to OFW kabalens. “We are one with the station’s of advocacy to bring credible, relevant and timely news and information to the viewers and stakeholders.”

For her part, CLTV36 President and General Manager Sonia P. Soto thanked viewers and stakeholders for the continuing trust and support to the multiawarded regional station.

Kahit saan, anumang oras. Muli, maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtangkilik,” Soto said.
