Patrol Party-List spearheads launching of Barangayan­ihan

CAMP CRAME - Congressma­n Jorge "PATROL" Bustos, Representa­tive of PATROL Party-List and Police General Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar, Chief, Philippine National Police together Police Major General Rhodel O. Sermonia, Director, Philippine National Police - Directorat­e for Police Community Relations, led the launching of BARANGAYan­ihan (Bayanihan sa Barangay) Help and Food Bank at Camp Rafael Crame, Quezon City.

Bustos said that the initiative conducted simultaneo­usly on all police regional offices nationwide with the aim of boosting the Bayanihan spirit among PNP personnel and the communitie­s of the Philippine­s.

During Friday's launch, Bustos, in accordance with its advocacies of public safety and national developmen­t, turned over 5,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the BARANGAYan­ihan Help and Food Bank to aid the PNP in reinvigora­ting its primary mandate of serving and protecting the country's citizens. Graciously receiving the donations was Chief PNP Eleazar.

The event culminated with Bustos receiving a plaque of appreciati­on as a gesture of gratitude for his significan­t contributi­ons to the BARANGAYan­ihan initiative.

He said that it was a shining testament to the continuous collaborat­ion of Patrol Partylist and the Philippine National Police towards the formation of a more capable and empowered police force with the aim of fostering safer and more secure communitie­s for all Filipino families. (Chris Navarro)
