Fiesta's turn at community service

-

IN A COMMENDABLE gesture replicating the now-popular community pantries which have been mushrooming throughout the country as a noble gesture of public service, Fiesta Communities Tabun Mabalacat City Homeowners Association, Inc., (FCTMCHAI) organized its version, in tie up with the 2nd Pampanga Police Mobile Force with its Rektang Bayanihan, of the now popular community organization spearheaded by individuals fueled by the genuine spirit of helping others to the point if sacrificing oneselves.

What is lamentable is that national authorities led by the military's Parlade misconstrue this genuine brand of community service and brand the organizers as leftists or sympathizers of the leftist movement. How low could you be, gentlemen when the organizers have nothing in mind but to help those who have almost nothing to eat.

It took one Ana Patricia Non of Maginhawa Street, Quezon City to take the cudgels and organize the first-ever Community Pantry. And now the Senate through Senator Grace Poe is poised to commend Patricia for her heroic and selfless act. She rightly deserves the commendation, and more.
