The Covid – 19 outbreak compelled many schools to immediately switch to different learning modalities which includes modular learning and online delivery of lessons. In our school in Floridablanca Elementary School prefer to have modular learning. Having this kind of learning and teaching, it is very challenging for us teachers. This kind of Pandemic has brought an extraordinary challenges and it really affect the Educational sector. We all know that education is very important to the lives of every person especially with our young generation. It is the key to success not just by oneself but also the progress of the country. As an Educator, We should always remember “No Filipino learner will be left behind amidst the crisis”. All children have the right to study.

I conduct an interview to few pupils in Grade Six to get some ideas or to know their perception in dealing in the New Normal Education. It is very important for a teacher to know pupils point of view about their experience in studying in the new normal. The first pupil said that at first she don’t have any interest in studying in the new normal because she finds it boring, she missed going to school and also her friends. She’s not answering her module on time and was not able to finish all her work and she said that her teacher noticed it. She narrated that her teacher talk to her via phone call and she realize that having a modular learning it can be fun too while learning . It’s because they can have a family bonding when her parents guides her in her daily lesson.

The second pupil is also from Grade Six and I ask her the same question. She said that it was a big adjustment for her from the traditional classroom class its hard but she must embrace the fact that this is the new normal, she needs to study well with the guidance of her family. Both pupils said that all learners must practice self- discipline, time management, stay focus and motivated at all times.

If all learners have this kind of mindset despite of all the challenges we are facing at this Pandemic they can still get what they are aiming in the future for their dreams. The Covid- 19 Pandemic brings new challenges unfolding. We must not lose hope and as one community in Christ. All be determined to keep on learning despite the hindrances. They must keep on dreaming to finish their studies. Let us all pray to God that this pandemic will end soon.
