Hair is an integrated system with peculiar chemical and physical behavior. As we all know it is our crown of glory. We take care of our hair because it spells our beauty and confidence.

“A good stylist is cheaper than a good therapist”- Anonymous. As a student of Beauty Care Services we need to know the hair cosmetics good and harmful effects for our hair.

Hair damage is caused by lack of oil that was washed away due to frequent use of shampoo, frequent coloring or frequent application of chemicals.

Of course the solution is the application of Virgin coconut oil to make the hair shiny and grows faster.

Oil found in avocado is also a good alternative.

This pandemic, we need to emphasize the harmful effect of this chemicals to the learners because we are not present during their performance task. I encourage the use of organic ingredients found at home. If possible, they can secrete oil from coconut. Apply avocado instead of chemicals.

We even encourage our students to be resourceful and patient in doing their own beauty essentials.Calamansi extract was used before as whitening. Aloe vera extract for thicker hair.

But coconut oil can do all the magic from hair to toe it can do the magic. No wonder it is called a tree of life.

Cosmetics are the product of fast lifestyle. We neglect the basic. Our produced vegetables, fruits can take care of our glowing skin but we neglect also the value of planting.

Our grandparent make their “Do it Yourself” beauty regimen before. They are simple yet so beautiful. So this pandemic made us realize one thing. We need to go back to the basic.
