Air Logistics Command supports community outreach programs
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” Once said Contemporary Prophet Mahatma Gandhi and this transformed into reality recently when Philippine Air Force (PAF) supported several community humanitarian activities within its Area of Responsibility (AOR) in adjoining places of Clark Air Base, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.
The group conducted humanitarian activities to several communities within Angeles City and nearby places of Pampanga. It also extended support to Community Pantries that sprung in countless localities; this is an effort to win over the red tagging notion associated with the concept. The Air Logistics Command (ALC) took the cue from vulnerable communities that are severely affected by Covid-19 Pandemic. Together with its stakeholders, several Civil Military Operation (CMO) activities were rolled out. Among its supporters is The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Philippine Eagles (TFOE-PE) a socio-civic organization in Central Luzon Region III who collaborated during these activities.
The support poured out to beneficiaries with assorted goods that this Command distributed to thankful recipients.
The ALC personnel have visited “vulnerable sectors and charity institutions” to show the warmth and concern for these people and make them feel that they (ALC) are dependable partner despite the situation brought about by the Global Pandemic. ALC focused on community pantries, orphanages, abandoned children, PWD, abandoned elderlies and others.
They have donated vegetables, rice, food packs, canned goods, blankets, bed-sheets, pillows, assorted personal items and other essentials. The Command explains that ALC, stakeholders and other socio-civic organizations that supports the PAF aims to, “Extend love and change of heart to Filipinos in times of need, uplift their lives and assist charitable institutions in extending help to disadvantaged sectors.” These are trying moments that can bring out the change to be better persons in times of crisis if we only remain active and steadfast in caring for our fellow and invites others to join, “join our efforts at ALC and we will be partners in change and rebuilding our great nation.”
