Bayanihan vs COVID
Katrin Clarice Eugenio Casquejo
The Department of Education said the impact of COVID-19 has highlighted the spirit of “Bayanihan” within the Department through the support of parents, of teachers, personnel, partner stakeholders, local and national government officials.
This, the Department said, is as we move forward to the new normal. The agency also recognizes the role of teaching and non-teaching personnel, parents, stakeholders, partners, and the community in their continuous efforts to improve the quality of education amidst the challenges of the pandemic.
DepEd officials, teachers, and learners are thankful to stakeholders and the community for assisting the Department in its mission. The collaboration of internal and external stakeholders has helped make education possible this time of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Department remains true to its mission to provide inclusive and quality education program for all learners, but said it cannot proceed with the implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan without the support of the both internal and external stakeholders.
This, the agency said, is the unifying spirit of Bayanihan among officials, partner agencies, hardworking teachers and employees, and most especially learners and their families.
The DepEd also thanked the Filipino people for their assistance to continuously improve education in the country – for their contributions, good words of praise, and pieces of advice they gave the Department as to how it can improve its levels of services.
It looks forward to the future digitalization, of teaching children more knowledge, of preserving the environment, and of creating a better life for each and every member of the Philippine community.
