CHALLENGES OF PUPILS’ TIME MANAGEMENT IN MODULAR LEARNING APPROACH
Ma. Luisa M. Reyes
Educators all around the world are faced with the nearly daily job of converting students' objectives into the reality of completing modules. Teachers achieve this in part by forcing students to spend time with course material. Researchers in the area of education have acknowledged the significance of the connection between students' capacity to manage their time efficiently and their academic performance. Many students struggle with time management. This difficulty is exacerbated in a mixed course where online tasks must be done in between face-to-face classes.” This difficulty is exacerbated for international students studying in Australia. According to current studies, multitasking is a myth. In reality, kids are moving from one activity to another. They incur a cognitive cost and a temporal penalty with each switch: it takes time to mentally return to the job, making them less efficient. They lose the depth of their attention and absorption when they transition. This depth is required of pupils in situations where they are expected to acquire conceptual mastery rather than a cursory knowledge. It emphasized that with proper time management, each student can significantly enrich his life and actualizes himself; additionally, with the effective use of time, students can be confident in the thought they have committed, especially now that the modular learning approach is being implemented in the Philippines. As a result, any student will be successful in academic work within the boundaries of his ability if he pursues it with efficiency, industry, and a desire to learn. On the other hand, if a person is a passive learner or does not make it a habit to study, literacy and success will suffer. This aims to investigate the difficulties of time management of students using a modular learning method. Modular Learning Approach will not only assist normal education students, but it may also benefit students because of its ability to provide them more flexibility over the location, route, and speed at which they study. That comes with the right knowledge; the Modular Learning Approach is prepared to simply assist pupils in forcing much more development than they could have before.
