Air Force reservists, CDC workers join bloodletti­ng

CLARK FREEPORT Philippine Air Force (PAF) units recently conducted a blood letting as part of their civic military operations.

The 2nd ARCEN (Air Reserve Center), led by its Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Joan P Dslmacio, in partnershi­p with the 23rd AFGR (Air Force Group Reserve), through its Deputy Group Commander Maj. Rolando C. Rodolfo, and with the support of Clark Developmen­t Corp. President Manuel Gaerlan and Masonic District Region 3 District Deputy Grand Master Felix Paras conducted the bloodletti­ng activity at the Clark Bicentenni­al Park.

A total of 80 PAF reservists, PNP and CDC personnel successful­ly donated their blood for the said activity.

The activity was jointly organized by the 2nd ARCEN and the 23rd AFGR under the 2AFWR, in partnershi­p with the Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Foundation. An eight-person team from the Medical City came over to facilitate the bloodletti­ng activity.

The activity strictly adhered to health protocols, notably the thorough sanitation of the venue, observance of physical distancing, wearing of face masks, and other preventive measures. To ensure compliance to IATF protocols, Covid Marshalls from 2nd ARCEN were deployed all throughout the activity.

This is the second time that a bloodletti­ng activity was organized by the 2nd ARCEN and the 23 AFGR since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first blood drive was held on February 2021 in Marilao, Bulacan. ( PR)

The PDRRMO also noted that most of the barangays of the said municipali­ties are still submerged in varying level of floodwater­s.
