THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN THE NEW NORMAL EDUCATION

In this time of new normal education, it is in the home environment when parents guide their children in studying and answering their self – learning modules. Parents are the first teachers of their children. Parents are the ones who can also monitor the learning progress of the young learners even in modular – based instruction. They play significant role in providing creative home learning environment for their children. It is also the main role of parents to teach the young learners how to become independent in their studies like completing their assignments and projects. Guardian also reminds chidlren that they should also be responsible in whatever learning task they have learned from school. At the end of the day, parents are encouraged to ask their children what lessons in life they have experienced in answering their modules. Creative and motivating learning environment is also important for the personality development of the children. Providing instructional materials at home which can be utilized by students will motivate them to learn effectively and efficiently. Parents must provide learning space for their children for them to have conducive learning environment even at home. To respond to the needs and interest of the children in the school activities children must be appreciated by their parents. Motivating learning environment at home really influence the young learners’ participation in his modules completion. It is also part of the parents to inspire and guide their children in their own educational journey. To promote a loving and safe home environment, it is necessary that parents are always supporting their children’s education. Home is the learning environment for learners in this new normal, therefore, dear parents, be an inspiration and show your love to your learners for them to become motivated and aspire for new learning and new experience.
