Thousands of flood victims get food donation

CANDABA- Former Mayor Danilo Baylon has come to the aid of thousands of flood victims in five towns in the fourth district of Pampanga.

Baylon, who is the chairman of Dayway Processing Corporatio­n, one of the biggest chicken , feeds and eggs processing business in the country, has already visited 44 flooded barangays in the towns of Masantol, Macabebe, San Simon, Sto. Tomas and Minalin.

Baylon' together with his wife Apo Aniway and Board Member Nelson Calara have already distribute­d food packs consisting of rice, eggs and chickens to more than 30,000 individual­s in the said flood affected towns which are still under a State of Calamity.

"Minarapat natin tulungan ang mga kababayan natin sa 4th district na lubhang naapektuha­n ng pagbaha, na hangang ngayon ang karamihan sa kanilang mga tahanan ay naka lubog parin sa tubig baha at lalu pang pinalala ng pandemya na kung saan ang kanilang mga hanap buhay at pinagkakak­itaan ay labis na naapektuha­n ," Baylon said.

The former Candaba Mayor said that he knows how it feels to be 'poor' since he also came from a poor family. Neverthele­ss, this did not stop him from curving a bright future by hard work, dedication and by following the teachings of God.

"Kahit ano man pagsubok ang atin hinaharap sa araw araw na buhay natin, ay kakayanin natin ito, basta manalangin at magtiwala tayo sa ating Ama, hindi niya tayo papabayaan," Baylon said.

Baylon also urge his fellow businessme­n to do their share in helping their community specially those affected by this pandemic and natural cal ami t i es.

"Lahat ng yaman at paaari na meron tayo ay galing sa ating Ama kaya nararapat lamang na ibalik natin ito sa pamamagita­n ng pagtulong sa atin kapwa ," Baylon said. Calara, who is a close friend with Baylon for many years said that the former mayor and his wife are not only giving much needed food but are also spreading the good word of God.

"Likas talaga ang pagtulong ng mag asawang Mayor Baylon at Apo Aniway, dahil sa labis na grasya na ibinigay sa kanila ng Panginoon, ay ipinamamah­agi nila ito sa atin mga kababayan lalu na dito sa kuwatro destrito ng Pampanga," Calara said.

Baylon has also donated thousands of food packs to other pampanga towns namely, Floridabla­nca, Guagua, Sta. Rita, Sasmuan, Arayat , Sta. Ana and Mabalacat City.

Danway Food Processing Corporatio­n thru Danway Missionari­es has given food donations to single parents, PWDs, senior citizens and indigent families and individual­s in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao for more than a decades.
