Bulacan PNP implements stricter border control amid MECQ
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan – At least 578 police personnel and force multipliers have been deployed to implement stricter border control while the province is under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until August 31, 2021.
Colonel Lawrence Cajipe, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, in an interview on Thursday, said 366 police officers and 212 force multipliers are manning the different control points in this city and municipal boundaries, provincial boundaries (BulacanManila), and North Luzon
Expressway (NLEX) exit.
“All checkpoints and police visibility has been intensified province-wide in response to the governmentimposed strict implementation of MECQ in the province of Bulacan in order to halt the spike in the numbers of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19),” Cajipe said.
The border Quarantine Control Points (QCP) are located in Loma De Gato in Marilao- Caloocan City boundary; Bar angay Bancal along McArthur Highway in Meycauayan City; Barangay Bahay Pare in Meycauyan City Caloocan City boundary; Barangay Lawa in ObandoValenzuela City boundary; Barangay Bagbaguin in Meycauayan City; Crossing in Barangay Panghulo, Obando; Bar angay Pariancillo Villa in Valenzuela City and Barangay Catanghalan in Obando boundary; Barangay Wawang Pulo in Valenzuela City, and Barangay Paco in Obando boundar y.

Turo, Bocaue; NLEX Philippine Arena Barangay Igulot, Bocaue; NLEX northbound exit in Bar angay Tambubong, San Rafael; Balagtas exit in Barangay Tiaong Guiguinto; NLEX exit bound in Barangay Sta Rita Guiguinto; NLEX southbound in Barangay Patubig, Marilao; NLEX toll exit southbound in Barangay Malhacan, Meycauayan City; Pulilan exit in Barangay Tibag, Pulilan; and boundary of Barangay Balucuc in Apalit, Pampanga and Barangay Sta. Peregrina in Pulilan, Bulacan.
Cajipe said only those individuals who are providing basic services, essential goods, utilities, and other authorized personnel are allowed to enter and exit the boundaries in the province.
“In the face of the rising Covid -19 cases, Bulacan PNP is always on guard to take stringent actions and doing its job in the best way possible to contain the spread of the virus to ensure the health and safety of every Bulakenyo,” he said.
