Patrol Partylist airs support to DPWH's camps, bases dev't
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Patrol Partylist on Monday aired its support on the Department of Public Works and Highways' (DPWH) program of developing police camps and military bases in the country.
The program, dubbed as Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS), is in partnership with the Philippine National Police and the Department of National Defense.
It seeks to improve the condition of the bases of uniformed personnel through construction of needed infrastructure facilities such ad administrative buildings, road networks, living quarters and even isolation centers.
Patrol Partylist Representative Jorge Bustos said the program boosts their advocacy of championing public safety.
He said having good working environment uplifts the morale of the "public safety practitioners and professionals", or the military and policemen.
"If our public safety practitioners and professionals have high morale, it will reflect on how their deliver their duty of serving and protecting Filipino people which is our common goal," Bustos said.
In turn, the solon vowed to continue crafting bills aimed at supporting DPWH's program, and promote the welfare of uniformed personnel.
Citing their key role in ensuring peace and safety in the community, he assured that he will strengthen the programs that will further capacitate police and military men via legislative measures.
"By empowering our practitioners and professionals, we can easily fulfill our goal of securing every Filipino family. This has been our advocacy way before we were given public office, and we will continue to champion it even without it," Bustos said.
