Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. This viral disease has a huge impact on our lives. Before the pandemic, we do typical activities like socializing, bonding with friends, cuddling our loved ones, and most importantly, freely going to different places. Many of these things that we used to do on a day- to- day basis have abruptly changed. Everything in our lives has changed, but we must learn to adapt and be flexible. We must look after ourselves, strengthen our immune system, maintain good mental health to avoid depression, and last but not least, maintain a strong faith and connection to God. All of these things are necessary for us to be able to cope with this situation. According to World Health Organization, we have to subject ourselves and conform with the safety protocols such as physical distancing, wearing face mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, washing hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue and most importantly get vaccinated to protect ourselves against this deadly disease. Many of our frontline health professionals and other frontliners are already exhausted from helping the nation fighting this invisible enemy called Covid-19, by merely complying to these health and safety protocols we can somehow help them alleviate their situation and eventually get rid of this virus. As quoted by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, “We are in this together – and we will get through this, together.” This quotation suggests that we can overcome this health crisis if we collaborate and work together.
