Finding Ways to Make It Happen
Jennifer P. Viray
Partnerships and linkages are intervening factors to reinforce and encourage shared responsibility for the effective implementation of certain educational programs, projects, and activities.
There has been a tremendous impact with silver lining to see how far the intentional efforts to forge for more meaningful engagement between the school, the entire community, and other educational partners.
When the school and the community are working together with a common goal and ambition, everyone is of advantage in achieving better learning outcomes.
Partnerships and linkages from certain non-government organizations, religious groups, alumni, private institutions, and other concerned individuals strengthen commitment, active involvement, collaboration, strong communication, transparency, and better alignment of resources for more meaningful projects and an effective learning environment.
Purposively, partnership and linkages between the school and the community create a positive impact on learner’s achievement and intensify strong relationships for more engaging activities, higher academic performance, and learning progress throughout the school year. Both extend support for shared governance and a collective vision of achieving higher academic achievements.
Furthermore, open channeling and feedbacking on various school’s accomplishments and achievements promote sustainable partnerships and linkages. It can also help the school personnel to give better service to learners, parents, and the whole community.
