-

MABALACAT CITY -- An organization has asked the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to explain how granular hard lockdowns

"What is the logic of a granular hard lockdown when the government would simultaneously allow international travelers to come into the country? We don't know what to make of the Malacanang and IATF's decision," said Anakpawis national president Ariel Casilao. "It's senseless and unproductive."

In this city and other parts of Pampanga, local government units have place under granular lockdown villageswith high number of COVID 19 cases.

Citing economic recovery as a reason, the government this week has lifted the travel restrictions in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia starting September 6, 2021, according to the group.

"Inalis ang travel restrictions pero magpapatupad ng granular lockdown. Hindi na talaga alam ng IATF ang ginagawa nito at kung anu-ano na lang ang ipinatutupad nila. They're experimenting with policies and still haven't presented a clear and comprehensive response

“If it’s the will of the people for me to run for vice mayor because they believe and trust in me, I will wholeheartedly accept the challenge,” Tamayo said.

Tamayo started his stint as public servant in 2007 when he was elected as Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman of Barangay Palat.

In 2010, he ran for village councilman (kagawad) of the same village, and was able to serve for three terms until 2019. While serving as barangay kagawad, he was elected as Porac’s ABK President from 2013 to 2019.

In 2019, Tamayo ran for a seat in the Sangguniang Bayan and won the third spot. Tamayo has recently shown support to incumber Mayor Jaime “Jing” Capil, sharing the latter’s vision of renewed town with through the campaign “Bayung Porac.” (PR)
