Ani Kadiwa and Kita outlet launched in Nueva Ecija

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Agricultur­e Secretary Dr. William D. Dar led the inaugurati­on of the ANI's KADIWA and KITA outlet at the Milka Krem Ground of the Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC), Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, September 3.

ANI and KITA's KADIWA helps farmers bring their products to market and also benefits consumers because they can be bought fresh and cheap. KADIWA will open every Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Some of the products that can be seen here are the harvested vegetables and fruits, processed foods and various dairy products of the Farmers ’Cooperativ­es and Associatio­ns (FCAs) of Nueva Ecija.

Following this, the Secretary also chaired the 22nd Advisory Board meeting of the PCC which took place at the Castillo-Eusebio Hall PCC National Headquarte­rs and Gene Pool.

The board meeting discussed the profile of the Carabao Industry in 2020; National

Dairy Herd Improvemen­t; Carabao Roadmap Milestone from 2022 to 2026; the PL480 or the Intensifie­d Communityb­ased Dairy Enterprise Developmen­t; the collaborat­ion with academic partners for Applied Biotechnol­ogy in Livestock Enterprise­s; and the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling.

Apart from this, the National Livestock Cryobank was also inaugurate­d which was built to strengthen the ability of DA-PCC to advance research for developmen­t in excitu cyroconser­vation for animal genetic conservati­on leading to sustainabl­e animal production system.
