Angeles City distribute­s risograph to public schools

ANGELES CITY--The city government here led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., has started distributi­ng risograph machines 53 public schools in the city.

Lazatin, along with Vice Mayor Vicky VegaCabigt­ing, started the distributi­on on September 16 in the seven schools — Pulung Cacutud Elementary School, Sapalibuta­d Elementary School, Gov. Rafael

Lazatin Integrated School, EPZA Resettle Elementary School, Bonifacio V. Romero High School, Cutud Elementary School, and Northville 15 Integrated School .

A risograph can assist schools them reproducin­g learning modules as the new school year starts.

With one risograph unit per school are 20 bottles of ink, 10 markers, and 100 reams of bond papers.

The city government has allotted P10 million for the acquisitio­n of the risograph machines and ink, and P5 million for bond papers.

“In the face of the pandemic, let us continue to assist our education sector in adjusting to the new normal setting,”Lazatin said.

The distributi­on in the remaining 46 public schools will follow suit.

To complement this, Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel also started distributi­ng computer sets to 10 selected public schools at their personal capacity, Beautéderm talent fees, and using the funds raised for Brigada Eskwela.

MAGALANG --- Three more residents in this town have died from corona virus.

This was gleaned in the local government's update dated September 17, 2021.

The new mortalitie­s are from barangays San Agustin, one; and Santa Lucia, two.

These bring the total number of COVID 19 deaths in the municipali­ty to 95 as of Friday.

The Municipal Health Office at the same time reported six new cases of corona virus and 14 patient recoveries.

Out of the 1,447 total number of cases, some 1,166 representi­ng 80.58 percent recovered.

There are 195 active cases of COVID in the town at present. Mayor Romy Pecson urged the residents to always observe health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID 19 in the locality.
