DTI gives opportunities to Bembi’s Kitchen in Pampanga

-

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---Cel est e Salvador is a graduate of BS Accountancy from Angeles University Foundation in Angeles City. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she first became an administrative assistant in a company located at Calibutbut, Bacolor, Pampanga. After years of working as an employee, she decided to become a fulltime mom. However, after a few months of staying at home, she realized that she needed to find an outlet, something to make her busy and earn an income as well, while being at home and fulfilling her duties as a mother and wife. She then consulted her husband about her plans and received his husband’s full support. But the problem was, she does not have any idea on what, when, where to start her plans. Then, her passion in baking paved way to start her own business.

The business is doing good but not until the pandemic came. Celeste said that COVID-19 pandemic really made a huge setback to their business. A lot of missed opportunities such as dine-in customers from within and outside Magalang, buffet nights, and plans of business expansion.

According to Celeste, the Kapatid Mentor Me – Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Go Negosyo gave windows of opportunities and hope for her business. She added that she is one lucky business owner because she was introduced to the many programs of DTI. All of these programs became instruments and inspiration to her. She said that acquiring all the knowledge from these programs gave her direction, an eyeopener that despite all the challenges they are facing right now, there is still hope.

Learning so many skills, techniques, methods and practices taught her how to focus on innovations, reinvention and recreation to be able to get up and continue to reach her goals. More importantly, hard work and strong determination to tie it all up.
