DPWH completes facilities at Scout Ranger camp
CABANATUAN CITY -Local officials declared Dingalan, Aurora as insurgency-free or an area with Stable Internal Peace and Security.
Mayor Shierwin Taay, Vice Mayor Edgardo Galvez and councilors turned over a copy of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2021-976 which contained the declaration to Army 703rd Brigade Commander Colonel Joseph Norwin Pasam on t e.
The ceremony was witnessed by department heads, Punong Barangays, police personnel and the Army 91stInfantry Battalion led by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew Rubio.
In his message, Taay lauded the leadership Rubio and Pasamonte who remained committed to their mandate of helping his constituents and the province of Aurora to attain peace, prosperity and development .
He said development will always rely on the attainment of peace because of the whole-ofnation approach.
“We, in Dingalan local government, strengthen our partnership with the Army in delivering the basic social services by conducting Serbisyo Caravan all over Dingalan. Our soldiers are consistent in participating and offering their services in the caravan,” he added.
The Insurgency-free status of the municipality was a result of the commitment of the municipal government and
Army in ending local communist armed conflict through efforts of the Municipal Task Force.
Taay likewise cited the efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Northern Luzon Command for partnering with GMA Kapuso Foundation Inc. in the construction of a footbridge at Sitio Malacauyan in Barangay Umiray which will be completed soon.
In a statement, 7th Infantry Division Acting Commander Brigadier General Luis Rex Bergante extoled the municipal government of Dingalan for its effort to attain this status.
He assured that the Army is always here to maintain and sustain internal peace and security in the area.

SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed several facilities at the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSSR) Headquarters in Camp Tecson in San Miguel, Bulacan.
Newly constructed infrastructures include transient quarters, clubhouse, multi-purpose building, administrative/ liaison office, motor pool/parking bays and vehicle auto repair shop, and women barracks.
Secretary Mark Villar said these were completed under the Tatag ng Imprastraktura sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad convergence program of DPWH and Department of National Defense.
“The muchly needed facilities completed by the DPWH Bulacan Second District Engineering Office is our national government’s little way of paying off our soldiers for all their sacrifices as they keep a steady commitment in maintaining the peace and security of our country,” he said.
“We also hope to raise their morale in braving the challenges that will test our national integrity in the future,”Villar added.
The newly constructed two-storey, 20door barracks and transient quarters will provide a comfortable accommodation to soldi er s.
Mor eover, the women'sbarrackswill be of great help in meeting the needs of the enlisted women personnel for an accessible, decent, and convenient housing facili t y.
Refurbishing of the clubhouse, on the other hand, provides a common area to socialize, gather and participate in activities of FSSR.
Meanwhile, the multipurpose building is intended as venue for official gatherings, training and development activities, and conduct of leisure events.
Both the clubhouse and the multi-purpose building will also promote the much-needed recreational activities, for the conduct of sports, social and even formal functions.
And lastly, the battalion liaison office building will increase the productivity of personnel engaged in administrative functions, while the motor pool/ parking bays project will provide a spacious area for the repairs of the vehicles and safekeeping of other assets and equipment.
