The Vitality of Internet

It really plays a vital role. Education in this Covid-19 crisis faces big challenges not only among teachers but also to learners and parents. Internet access and digital technologies has become essential part of learning. Technology enables us to provide almost everything in this quarantine period in our stressful and unsafe lives. Technology provides us the exercise and enjoyment of many human rights, especially the freedom of expression and information.

Access to the internet becomes even more of an essential tool for protecting our health as well as a range of human rights during a public health emergency, including our social and economic rights while our everyday movements are restricted. No access in the Internet has a great impact in the people’s lives during this time. This enables us to receive and share vital information about the pandemic and the measures being put in place to tackle it. Internet helps us understand and scrutinize our governments’ actions. Technology helps us to work, shop and communicate during our social distancing situations and home quarantines. Almost everything was shifted online, ranging from health services, education done homeschooling and food acquisition done online.

Internet connectivity plays a vital role in the novel corona virus pandemic. It is requiring many people to work or study from home, which means that internet connectivity has become a paramount issue in the daily lives of millions of people around the world. The corona virus is forcing everybody to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. The workplaceswere closed and governments encourage people to stay at home, access to the internet can make a life-or-death difference, simultaneously providing opportunities and challenges.

In developing countries, educators are struggling to shift to online education. The pandemic has underscored the need for widespread connectivity to schools and homes.

Many online learning platforms are offering free access to their services,in response to significant demand. What does this mean for the future of learning? While some believe that the unplanned and rapid move to online learning – with no training, insufficient bandwidth, and little preparation – will result in a poor user experience that is unconducive to sustain growth, others believe that a new hybrid model of education will emerge, with significant benefits. I believe that the integration of information technology in education will be further accelerated and that online education will eventually become an integral component of school education. Everybody is hoping that this pandemic will soon end in order to live with peace and safety.
