MASANTOL — A young blood is seeking to provide reforms on the local governance here as he seeks the mayoralty post in this town in the coming May 2022 polls.

Jose Antonio "Ton-Ton" Bustos has filed his certificate of candidacy before the local Commission on Elections on Wednesday morning and will battle it out with the brother of Mayor Danilo Guintu--- businessman Aguinaldo "Homer" Guintu who will attempt to continue service of the outgoing local chief ext ecutive of this ow n. MABALACAT CITY – Better social services, improved economic condition, more infra projects, unparalleled medical and health program and unrelenting fight against COVID-19 cap the Garbo Administration as it seeks fresh mandate in the upcoming elections.
In his first term, Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has chalked up unprecedented achievements such as financial assistance, hospitalization, medical coverages for surgery and diagnostics, and provision of medicines for needy Mabalaqueños.
This, even as livelihood and infra projects, economic gains of the city and provision of ambulances and patrol cars have elicited recognition and p r ai ses from various sectors, including Gov. Dennis Pineda and Chief PNP Guillermo El eazar.
“Our beloved Mabalaqueños deserve all these. They deserve our attention. They deserve to be served especially in their need for better medical, security and livelihood programs,” Garbo said.
Garbo is seeking a fresh mandate, together with Vice Mayor Gerald Guttrie “Geld” Aquino as mayor and vice mayor respectively in the upcoming elections. Under Pampanga’s ruling Kambilan Party, their lineup includes Councilorables Jun Castro, Noel Castro, Timmy Dee, Cherry Manalo, Rox Peña, Marj Sambo, Jerry
Lazatin is in a mayoral race in this Pampanga capital in a three-way fight, but was quick to highlight that his team would only focus on striving to make people understand their platform agenda.
Lazatin is running under the Aksyon Demokratiko hoping to replace Mayor Edwin Santiago who is on his third and final term. His running mate is former councilor Noel Tulabut. In the slate for Lugud Fernandino councilors are John Susi, Reggie David, Taro Hizon, Alice Dumlao, Tina Lagman and Angel Wijangco. Lazatin said that San Fernando's sectors need all the necessary support to cushion the effects of the pandemic.
Highlighting the need to unit all sectors of the city, Lazatin said that a focused development on key areas will help Fernandinos hurdle the effects of the pandemic.
"I am asking Fernandinos to unite with a governance that will bring unity and development further to the most vulnerable sectors of San Fernando," Lazatin said.
