CITY, Pampanga – “Nakita namin sa unang termino palang ni Mayor Lazatin ang tunay na serbisyong may puso, kaya buong buo ang suporta ng CLAC para sa pagtakbo ni Mayor Lazatin sa ikalawang termino. Tiwala kami na itutuloy niya ang kanyang mahusay na panunungku­lan.”

Thus, said Carlos Dela Cruz, President of Councilmen’s League of Angeles City (CLAC) on October 7, 2021 during their meeting with incumbent Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. and the entire slate of Team Lazatin.

Lazatin is running for City Mayor anew in the coming 2022 Elections. Joining him are reelection­ist Pampanga First District Representa­tive

Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and reelection­ist City Vice Mayor Ma. Vicenta “Vicky” Vega-Cabigting.

Also present during the meeting was the entire slate of councilora­spirants running under Lazatin’s banner – incumbent City Councilors Joan Cyrstal “JC”Aguas, Marino “Niknok” Bañola, Joseph Alfie Bonifacio, Raco Del Rosario, Danilo “Dan” Lacson, Jesus “Jay” Sangil, and Atty. Arvin “Pogs” Suller; as well as new hopefuls Rodelio Mamac Jr., Aaron Pineda, and Christophe­r Joseph “CJ” Ponce.

Of the 262 total members of CLAC, 242 were in attendance during the meeting. Some CLAC members weren’t able to attend due to health concerns or prior appointmen­ts.

Lazatin and his team are running under the KAMBILAN party of Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).

If re-elected, Lazatin said that the cornerston­e for his second term in his office shall be economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with Health and Social Welfare, and Sustainabi­lity.

In an earlier press conference, Lazatin revealed his plans to initiate the P200 million worth rehabilita­tion of the Pampang Public Market, including the constructi­on of a steel parking, shooting down rumors about the alleged privatizat­ion of the Pampang Public Market.

Yap thanked his fellow servants in the provincial government for supporting her and various programs for the province.

In his second term, Lazatin will also push for the modernizat­ion of the City’s 28 sub health centers and six Rural Health Units (RHUs). Plans for the conversion of the Rural Health Unit 6 in Barangay Pulung Cacutud as Level 1 Hospital is underway and Lazatin aims to establish another Level 1 Hospital in Barangay Margot.
