THE SYMBOLS AND OPERATIONS OF LIFE

"Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same." - Carlos Castaneda. To teach is to share a few percentage of your personal life. The struggle continues for teachers in this generation where attention span of students is little by little deteriorating.

Mathematics teaching requires more creativity for not all students appreciates it compared with other subjects. With the birth of the 21st Century Teaching Skills, we teachers have allies that will now be an important tools in providing innovative ways of teaching the subject. What seems to be a boring subject yesterday will now be learned with new approaches.

These teaching techniques will be in the hands of a Strategic Math Teacher. But as the saying goes, teaching without passion is like teaching without happiness. Being a Math Teacher, you need to practice the four fundamentals in your personal life. You must start by counting your blessings and I am sure you will realized you have more of them than failures and misgivings. You must always add that you are blessed with supportive family and friends along your journey. Subtracting your negative thoughts and negative people will greatly help you in achieving your goal. The more we attract negativity, the more unproductive we will become and surely WORK STRESS we will invite to enter our world. We must learn too to multiply those blessings by sharing them to other people we met every day whether coworkers or students.

By practicing these attitudes, No Divided Attention will be present. Focus on the positive opportunities rather than the passiveness.

These are what I believe are what matter most in practicing effectiveness in teaching.
